Description:
The HT 206D is a digital AC/DC clamp meter that is specially designed for electricians, technicians, and DIY users. Moreover, it is produced by reliable manufacturers such as KAIWEETS and HABOTEST, which ensures consistent quality. In addition, the tool uses a clamp to measure current safely and non-intrusively, making it both practical and efficient. Meanwhile, test leads are used for other important functions, so users can perform multiple measurements with ease. Therefore, the HT 206D offers a balance of safety, precision, and versatility in one compact device.
Key features:
- True-RMS: Provides accurate readings on both linear and non-linear electrical loads.
- Auto-ranging: Automatically selects the correct measurement range, which simplifies the testing process.
- 6000-count display: Offers high-resolution and precise measurements.
- Non-contact voltage (NCV) detection: Measures electromagnetic field strength without touching wires for added safety.
- Low Pass Filter (LPF): Filters out high-frequency noise for accurate measurements on variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- LowZ (Low Impedance) mode: Helps prevent false readings caused by “ghost voltages”.
- Dual backlit LCD: A two-color display turns orange or red to warn of high voltage, and a backlight and flashlight aid visibility in dark areas.
- Safety rating: The meter typically holds a CAT III 600V safety rating.
Measurement functions:
- AC and DC Current: Measures up to 600A with the clamp.
- AC and DC Voltage: Measures up to 600V.
- Resistance: Measures up to 60 MΩ.
- Capacitance: Measures up to 100mF.
- Frequency and Duty Cycle: Measures signal frequency and duty cycle.
- Temperature: Uses an included K-type thermocouple to measure temperature.
- Diode and Continuity: Checks diode functionality and tests for circuit continuity with an audible beep.
Included accessories:
- HT206D Digital Clamp Meter
- Test leads
- K-type thermocouple for temperature measurement
- Storage bag
- User manual
- AAA batteries (sometimes not included)
How to use the HT 206D
- Select the function. Use the rotary dial to select the desired measurement function (e.g., A for current, V for voltage).
- Toggle with the “Z/F” button. Press the function button to switch between AC and DC modes for current and voltage.
- Clamp for current. For current measurement, clamp the meter around a single conductor wire, not the entire power cord.
- Connect test leads. For voltage, resistance, or other non-current measurements, connect the red and black test leads to the input jacks.
- Enable special features. Use the dedicated buttons to activate the NCV, data hold, or MAX/MIN functions.
